Former Rangers in Texas’ Home Guard

An article that was published in the Austin American-Statesman on 30 March 1942 titled “Former Rangers in Texas’ Home Guard” discussing the former Texas Rangers joining the ranks of the Texas Defense Guard. Th Texas Adjutant General, Brig. Gen. J. Watt Page, who organized the Texas Defense Guard set a goal of 950 Officers and 12,000 Troops and were at 75% strength when this article was published.
