The Texas Guardsman Magazine from November of 1945. The Texas Guardsman was a monthly publication by the Texas State Guard Officers Association. In this edition you will find articles on:

  1. Convention Gets the Job Done with the most successful convention in the history of the Texas State Guard Officers Association. That was held in Austin on the 20th and 21st of October of 1945. Several resolutions were passed and a National-State Guard Veterans Organization was endorsed.
  2. Overseas Patch For State Guard was authorized by the War Department. State Guard personnel who served overseas are authorized to wear the patch of the unit they served overseas with on the right shoulder in addition to the Texas State Guard patch worn on the left sleeve.
  3. How other State Guards Face Same Problems which include keeping strength up through new enlistments and keeping those already enlisted interested now that there is no war to provide motivation. This article includes solutions from the following states: Oregon, North Carolina, Mississippi, Rhode Island, Michigan, Ohio and Utah.
